32. GREEN LEMON AND COUGH MEDICINE
If you take green lemon at the same time as your cough medicine, there is a risk that the medicine will accumulate in your blood circulation, which would aggravate the side effects of the medicine such as insomnia or hallucinations. We will therefore avoid taking squeezed green lemon when our throat hurts.
33. THE SALAD AND THE FAT-FREE VINAIGRETTE
You think you’re doing the right thing when you don’t add fat to your salad, but you’re actually preventing your body from absorbing the nutrients found in your salad. We will therefore choose to use a real vinaigrette with oil, of course without going over.
34. LENTILS AND RED WINE
The tannins contained in the wine jeopardize the body’s ability to absorb minerals when they are consumed with iron sources found in plants. Drinking red wine with your lentils will hinder the absorption of protein by your body.
35. DAIRY PRODUCTS AND MEAT
The calcium found in dairy products prevents the absorption of the iron contained in the meat you eat. We will therefore avoid consuming a yogurt for dessert just after eating meat in the meal.
