Overwhelmed by its intensity you ask yourself: what causes it and when will it stop? However, that headache can reveal things about your health that you can’t imagine …
To start you must detect where it is located (on the nape of the neck, towards the left or right hemisphere, on the forehead …), its intensity and the time it started. This will let you know if the pain stems from a physical or emotional imbalance, as described by the American Academy of Pain Managemente.
Once you’ve identified the above, find out what your headache reveals:
1. throbbing pain in the forehead (can be on the right or left side)
If it starts in the morning or in the early hours of the day, its origin may be due to digestive problems: gastritis, irritated colon … or due to an excess of pain relievers or other medications. It is also related to a lack of sleep.
2. Pain in both hemispheres (the whole head)
This is associated with the gallbladder and decision-making, which required not only our attention but also produced tension and stress.
